Iconik customers can now work with their media in Scenery to streamline their production process for marketing videos, stringouts, and much more.

To help iconik customers work with our collaborative video editing and review tools, we’ve partnered with their team to build an integration that lets you quickly and easily send media to Scenery.

Case study

Why we’re partnering with iconik

We know that many teams with large content libraries have already invested in storage and asset management — and are simply looking for better ways to work with that content. Many teams will download massive file collections to edit in desktop NLEs, then re-upload videos multiple times for review and approval.

We’ve heard about these workflows from an increasing number of customers over the past year, and throughout those conversations iconik has risen to the surface as a powerful and popular cloud asset management solution that customers want to integrate with our editing and review tools.

And so, to make it easier for iconik customers to work with their media in Scenery, we've partnered with their team to build an integration that lets you quickly send media from iconik to Scenery, then work with it in our powerful — yet approachable — collaborative video editor.

This partnership unlocks cloud workflows for teams to manage media, collaboratively edit and review content seamlessly, then either publish videos directly or ingest stringouts into NLEs for finish editing.

How iconik customers are using Scenery

Once you’ve brought your content over to Scenery, you can work with our collaborative video editing and review tool to streamline your pre- and post- production processes dramatically. The two main ways we see iconik customers using Scenery are as follows:

  1. Approachable, collaborative editor for digital  teams. Give your digital content and marketing teams an approachable but powerful editor to create videos for social media and other channels, with built-in tools for keeping videos on brand and consistent.
  2. Streamlined stringout creation. Give your producers a lightweight tool for creating stringouts with exactly the content they want, then let them export timelines to Premiere for final polish and editing by your post-production teams.

Approachable, collaborative editor for digital teams

One of the most common challenges we hear from production teams centers around the need for their digital and marketing teams to create video assets. While there’s no shortage of content available in the archives, the process for moving from archive to edited asset is slow and inefficient. Most commonly, marketing teams rely on their editor teams to edit footage, creating a bottleneck in the process that strains the time of editors and creates time consuming feedback loops between marketing and editorial teams.

Create social videos from your content with our intuitive and powerful editing tools.

Our integration with iconik gives your digital teams a tool that they can actually use to work with that content and repurpose it for their needs — with built-in tools to keep key elements like fonts, logos, colors titles, intros, outros, and transitions on brand.

Whether your team’s creating a social clip for a new campaign or a simple video for the marketing site, Scenery’s approachable timeline editor provides what teams need to create exactly the assets they need, without overwhelming them with the power and complexity of a professional editing tool. Plus, our built-in review tools allow your teams to gather feedback from teammates without needing to render, download, and upload content to additional tools like Frame.io.

Streamline stringout creation

Another challenge we can help with is streamlining how production teams prepare content for editing teams. Producers play a key role in curating content and deciding what pieces of footage go into a final edit, but the tools and processes they have for communicating those decisions to editors are inefficient and not purpose-built.

Create stringouts from your content before handing off to editors in Premiere.

Scenery streamlines the handoff from producers to editors by letting producers create stringouts of the exact shots and timestamps they want to see in an edit, then export those sequences to Adobe Premiere for editing teams to pick up where they’ve left off and know that nothing’s been lost in translation.
